Occident strengthens its commitment to brokerages in the Balearic Islands with a new partnership agreement

"The insurer solidifies its commitment to the professional development of insurance brokers by signing an agreement with the Association of Insurance Brokers of the Balearic Islands"

Occident renews its collaboration agreement with the Association of Insurance Brokers of the Balearic Islands. This alliance reaffirms the company's commitment to consolidating the role of insurance brokers in the region.

Through this agreement, Occident reinforces its support for registered brokers by providing institutional backing and collaborating on training and outreach initiatives that contribute to the professionalisation of the sector in the archipelago. As part of this agreement, Occident will once again sponsor the Balearic Insurance Conference, which is a space for dialogue and coexistence among insurance sector professionals.

The signing of the agreement took place at the College’s headquarters and was attended by Marco Serra, Branch Manager for Brokers in the Balearic Islands – Southeast Zone at Occident, and Antonio Jesús Balaguer, President of the Association of Insurance Brokers of the Balearic Islands.

“Mediation is key to our commercial strategy, as it allows us to offer hands-on, personalised, and high-quality advice to our customers”, said Serra. “With this agreement, we are taking another step forward in our commitment to stand by brokers, supporting their daily work and fostering an environment of trust and mutual collaboration”.

For his part, Balaguer highlighted: “The signing of this agreement with Occident strengthens our commitment to fostering closer collaboration with insurance companies that share our vision of the strategic role mediation plays in the market”. Together, we promote initiatives that support training, professionalisation, and closer relationships with customers—essential pillars for continuing to build trust in the Balearic insurance sector”.

With this alliance, Occident continues expanding its network of collaboration with professional associations across the country, strengthening its presence in the Balearic Islands and committing to the development of a strong, modern mediation sector focused on the real needs of policyholders.

Occident supports brokers

For Occident, the network of agents and brokers, with more than 14,000 insurance brokers, is paramount in its business strategy. In the Balearic Islands, the insurer has 201 brokers. This channel represents more than 90% of its turnover and serves as a direct link between the company and its customers.
