At GCO we are adhered to the principles of the Global Compact and are committed to the Sustainable Development Goals. Our Group is also a signatory to the UNEP FI Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI) and UNPRI Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI).
Sustainable Development Goals
The 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) entails the commitment of governments as well as civil society and companies. The activities undertaken by GCO and the work carried out by Fundación Occident enable us to contribute to several of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Global Compact
Through our adherence to the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact we confirm our commitment to align our strategies and operations with these universally recognised principles, which are grouped into four areas: human rights, labour standards, the environment and combatting corruption.
Principles for sustainable insurance
Since 2020, we have been adhered to the Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI) drawn up by the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative, which constitute a benchmark framework for the sector in the attempt to address social, environmental and governance risks and opportunities. Principles for responsible investment
Aware that the exercising of our corporate responsibility can contribute to a comprehensive and stable global economy that helps protect the world's assets, GCO adhered to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) agreed by the United Nations.
