Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
The business of GCO's companies and the projects of Fundación Jesús Serra intrinsically impact the SDGs because of the very nature of their core activities. These companies are promoting new initiatives that are based on actions, programmes and information published on some of these goals.
Global Compact
GCO remains committed to the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact. This implies a commitment to align its strategies and operations with these universally recognised principles, which are grouped into four areas: human rights, labour standards, the environment and combatting corruption.
UNEP-FI Principles for sustainable insurance
In 2020, GCO adhered to the Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI) drawn up by the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative, which constitute a benchmark framework for the sector in the attempt to address social, environmental and governance risks and opportunities. More information in the PSI 2023 Report.
UNPRI Principles for Responsible Investment
Aware that the exercising of its corporate responsibility can contribute to a comprehensive and stable global economy that helps protect the world's assets, GCO is a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) agreed by the UN in 2005.
