The environment

The environment

GCO is committed to the fight against climate change and the mitigation of the environmental impact of its activity.

This commitment is reflected in the climate change and environmental policy, which constitutes its framework of action and defines the commitments it assumes in this area.

Environmental management

GCO is committed to continuous improvement in its environmental performance and to the prevention of pollution. GCO thus actively seeks to promote a culture of sustainable development and efficient use of resources among all its stakeholders, and commits to managing and measuring the impact of its operations on the environment.

Climate change

In the face of the challenge of climate change and new regulatory requirements, GCO seeks to implement metrics that help measure and manage the risks and opportunities arising in this area, working with environmental management systems to gradually reduce the intensity of its greenhouse gas emissions and thus contribute to European goals for emissions reductions of up to 55% in 2030, and achieving carbon neutrality in 2050.
GCO is also working to incorporate the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD).
