"The Jesús Serra Foundation will present the prizes to the winners of the 12th Jesús Serra Foundation Poetry Competition on 27 June. The event will take place at 6:30pm at the Ateneu Barcelonès and will be attended by representatives from the Asociación Colegial de Escritores de Cataluña (ACEC) (Catalonia Writers' Association)."
Thus, the Jesús Serra Foundation celebrates its twelfth consecutive year acknowledging and promoting poetry in Spanish and Catalan. The winners were selected by a jury made up of renowned writers and professionals from the art world, such as Josefa Contijoch (1981 Miquel Martí i Pol Poetry Award and 1994 Salvador Espriu Poetry Award), Elena Medel (2013 Loewe Prize for young creators and 2016 Princesa de Girona de las Artes y las Letras Prize), David Castillo (1997 Carles Riba Prize, 1999 Crexells Prize and 2001 Sant Jordi Prize), the teacher Ricardo Fernández Aguilá and the cultural manager, Alejandro Krawietz.
