Occident renews its commitment to music with its sponsorship of the Cruïlla Festival for the second consecutive year

"The insurer will give its name to one of the festival's main stages and will have a prominent brand presence in the venue in its 15th year"

Occident once again reiterates its commitment to culture and music by sponsoring the Cruïlla Festival for the second year running, and which in 2025 is celebrating its 15th edition. The festival, which is taking place from 9 to 12 July at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona, has become firmly established as an essential event in the music calendar, offering a unique experience that goes way beyond concerts.

The presence of Occident at the festival is part of its strategy to offer enriching experiences to its customers through music, as well as to approach new audiences and support initiatives that generate a positive impact. As an official sponsor, Occident will give its name to one of the festival's main stages, as well as an area called “Occident Lounge,” a more comfortable area of the event with an exclusive range of drinks. In addition, Occident will be present on different communication and merchandising media.

To commemorate its fifteen years of life, the Cruïlla festival is featuring a diverse lineup, with more than 50 confirmed artists, including Alanis Morissette, Thirty Seconds to Mars, St. Vincent, Gracie Abrams, Sex Pistols feat Frank Carter, Texas and Viva Suecia, and many more acts. All of this in an incomparable setting: outdoors, in front of the sea and with a unique atmosphere that combines music, humour, art and social commitment.

True to its transformative spirit, the festival will be hosting Espai Transforma't for the second year running; a space for reflection and dialogue in collaboration with NGOs and social organisations that seeks to highlight problems such as inequality, climate change and human rights. Like every other year, festival-goers will be offered the option of making a donation when they purchase their tickets. This year, all the proceeds will be allocated to Pallapupas, an organisation that works to bring humour and laughter to the hospital environment, transforming hospitals into more humane, welcoming spaces full of life.

Sustainability is another pillar of Cruïlla, which this year is strengthening its environmental commitment with a comprehensive strategy that is committed to the circular economy. Among other measures, once again the festival will be using reusable tableware and glasses, allowing them to be reused at other events. This initiative enabled the event to avoid the use of more than 35,000 single-use containers in 2024, in a clear sample of its innovative and responsible vocation.

Once again all the Cruïlla Festival's energy needs will be met exclusively by renewable sources, thus avoiding the emission of 36,000 kg of CO₂ and eliminating the consumption of 13,600 litres of diesel fuel.

Music as a strategic pillar of sponsorship

Since its inception, Occident has considered the world of music as a key component in its sponsorship strategy. Thus, Occident participates in the Alma festivals as naming sponsor; at the Starlite Occident boutique festival in Marbella and at its Starlite Christmas edition; the Polar Sound Occident in Baqueira Beret; at the iconic Les Nits festival in Barcelona; and will be part of the Occident Summerfest Cerdanya festival for another year.
