"Through this sponsorship, the company underlines its commitment to sport at one of Bizkaia's most iconic events"
Occident reiterates its commitment to sport and the bicycle touring community for the 11th year running, through its sponsorship of the 36th edition of the Occident Bilbao-Bilbao International Cycling for All Event - one of Bizkaia's leading sports events - which will be held on Sunday 23rd March.
This sports event, organised by the BideBike Cycling Club, has established itself as the informal start of the season for many touring cyclists, bringing together around 8,000 participants every year. True to its non-competitive format, the event allows participants to enjoy the experience of cycling while touring some of Bizkaia's most famous landscapes.
The three traditional routes have been kept for the 2025 edition. The Short Route, which is 85 kilometres, is ideal for people looking for a more achievable option, without major technical requirements. The Classic Route, which is 115 kilometres, is the event's signature option. The Vivero Route, which is 125 kilometres, includes an ascent to the El Vivero pass, a challenge for the most prepared cyclists.
The starting point will be the iconic Deusto Bridge. Along the route, cyclists will have access to technical assistance and refreshments, ensuring an excellent experience for all levels. The finish line is located on Gran Vía, at the palace of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
With this new edition, Occident and the Occident Bilbao-Bilbao International Cycling for All Event continue to promote sport and the bicycle touring community, offering a unique experience in an unrivalled setting.
