Occident strengthens its alliance with Bilbao Basket and expands its support for sport and grassroots basketball

Occident has renewed its commitment to Bilbao Basket as the club’s official sponsor for the 2026/27 season, consolidating a partnership spanning more than a decade that continues to grow in both sporting and social spheres. The renewal incorporates new actions aimed at strengthening the company's presence with the fans and continuing to promote the sport of basketball among children and young people through the Bilbao Basket Foundation.

As part of the agreement, Occident will continue to have a presence in prominent elements of the Bilbao Arena, such as the illuminated signage around the free-throw areas, the press conference screen, dynamic advertising during games, the court and other advertising media in the venue, reinforcing the brand's visibility throughout the season.

The collaboration also maintains an important social aspect through the Bilbao Basket Foundation. Occident will continue to be the main sponsor of the 'Bilbao Basket-Occident Campus', which will once again take place over Christmas, Easter and the summer. As a new feature, the agreement reinforces the identity of these campuses with greater integration of the Occident brand in the name, kits and communications, consolidating an initiative that brings together more than 1,200 boys and girls each year and promotes values such as effort, camaraderie and personal improvement. 

Furthermore, both entities will promote new educational and charitable activities, including talks with players and coaching staff, as well as collaboration on charitable initiatives such as 'One Match, One Cause', reinforcing the shared commitment to social development and the promotion of healthy habits through sport.

The renewal of the Bilbao Basket sponsorship is part of Occident's commitment to sport as a tool to promote values such as effort, teamwork, inclusion and self-improvement. In addition to its partnership with the Bilbao-based team, the insurance company remains firmly committed to other sporting initiatives such as the Occident Bilbao-Bilbao International Cycle Tour, the Conde de Godó Trophy, the Super Amara Bera Bera handball club and the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona-1899, amongst others.
