"The company, whose priority is to be there for its policyholders at all times, extends its support to everyone affected.\n\nOccident strengthens its contact channels to guide customers through reporting damage to the Insurance Compensation Consortium. "
Occident has activated special support arrangements to assist customers affected by the earthquakes recorded in Granada and its metropolitan area. The insurer has strengthened its usual channels and mobilised its network of insurance intermediaries to answer questions and facilitate the claims process for its policyholders.
Earthquakes are considered an extraordinary risk. Because of this, any material damage they cause is compensated by the Insurance Compensation Consortium (CCS), provided that the affected party has a valid policy covering the damaged property and meets the established requirements.
How to report damage to the Consortium
A claim for compensation can be submitted through any of the following channels:
- By phone: 900 222 665.
- Online: www.consorseguros.es
In addition, when submitting the claim, you will need to provide:
- Policy details: insurance company and policy number.
- Personal data: full name or company name, tax identification number, address and contact telephone numbers of the policyholder and, if different, the person submitting the claim.
- Bank details: IBAN of the account into which the compensation will be paid.
- Vehicle damage: make, model and registration number; if the vehicle is at a repair shop, its name, address and telephone number.
Occident supports its customers throughout the claims process
Customers who need guidance or support in submitting their claim to the Consortium can contact Occident through its usual channels:
- Free customer service phone number: 900 110 200.
- Assistance via WhatsApp: 917 83 83 83.
Policyholders are also reminded that they can receive personalised advice from their insurance intermediary, who will assist them with all paperwork involving the Insurance Compensation Consortium.
The special support arrangements will remain in place to answer policyholders’ queries and provide support throughout the process of submitting and monitoring their claims with the Consortium.
