Occident renews its partnership with Club Bera Bera to continue promoting women’s sport

Occident has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Club Bera Bera for the 2026–2027 season, consolidating a four-season collaboration that goes beyond sporting support and shares a common vision based on effort, equal opportunities and commitment to the region.

The renewal will ensure continuity for a partnership that in recent years has supported the growth of one of the most successful clubs in Spanish women’s handball and which, in this new phase, includes new initiatives to bring the sponsorship closer to supporters and create a greater social impact.

Under the agreement, Occident will continue to be the club’s official insurer and will maintain a prominent brand presence throughout the season on the playing surface whenever the first team plays at home.

The collaboration will also extend to digital channels and fan engagement initiatives. Among the planned activities is the selection of the “Safest Player” in each match through the club’s social media channels.

Occident will also sponsor the equality programme launched by Club Bera Bera, reinforcing its commitment to the development of women’s sport and to projects that promote inclusion and equal opportunities.

This renewal comes after a season in which Super Amara Bera Bera once again established itself among the elite of Spanish handball, consolidating a sporting record marked by competitiveness and ambition, values that are fully aligned with Occident’s philosophy.

Commitment to Basque sport and society

The sponsorship of Club Bera Bera forms part of Occident’s commitment to supporting sporting and cultural initiatives that contribute to the development of Basque society. The company maintains strong ties with the region through its support for various sporting and cultural organisations and initiatives, promoting projects that create a positive impact both within and beyond competition. 

In 2025, Occident sponsored the exhibition 'Barbara Kruger: Another day. Another night" at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, of which it is a patron; and it has again supported different sports clubs such as Bilbao Basket and Miribilla Cycling. Likewise, in March it sponsored the 37th Occident Bilbao-Bilbao International Cycling Event for All, which attracted around 6,000 participants.
