Occident expands the coverage and services of its Salud Bienestar health insurance

Occident has enhanced its Salud Bienestar policy, strengthening its commitment to the overall health of its policyholders by adding new coverage and exclusive services. This update applies to both current policyholders and new customers, and includes full integration of the 'Tu salud digital' service, hospitalisation at a leading clinic if suffering from certain conditions, improved in-home care services, and greater access to in-person consultations.

Digital healthcare

One of the main new features of the Salud Bienestar policy is the inclusion of 'Tu salud digital', Occident’s digital healthcare service available through its E-cliente app. This way, policyholders can enjoy unlimited access to all the services offered by 'Tu salud digital' without having to travel, and with no copayments.

Through this service, policyholders can have instant or scheduled video consultations with specialists. It also offers 24/7 medical chat support, access to medical reports, and the option to download prescriptions issued by doctors. Recently, this service's healthcare coverage was expanded to 42 countries in case of any unforeseen events.

The service has received high user approval, with a 96% satisfaction rate for scheduled video consultations and exponential growth in the number of consultations over the past year.

Other highlights in Salud well-being

Occident has added Elite Hospitalisation coverage for hospital stays due to medical and/or surgical treatment of certain conditions. In addition, in the event of post-surgical and/or post-hospital recovery, a new benefit has been introduced that offers 8 hours of in-home support services provided by auxiliary staff. Policyholders may also request reimbursement for up to three in-home care services per year when home rest is prescribed by a doctor.

The policy update also improves access to in-person medical care. From now on, policyholders can get reimbursed for up to four in-person consultations per year with any specialist or physician within the provider network, which includes more than 17,000 medical centres in every medical and surgical speciality.

Salud Well-being

Occident’s Salud Well-Being policy guarantees immediate access to private treatments and medical procedures at significant discounts, with a wide medical network and over 3,900 dental clinics offering 62 free services, such as diagnosis, dental cleaning, and periodontal treatment.

The policy also includes a second in-person medical opinion at a nationally or internationally renowned clinic, reimbursable annual vision or hearing check-ups, and standard courtesy services such as medical advice and legal support over the phone.
