Occident brings together more than 500 employees in Sant Cugat to celebrate Insurance Day

"The Teatre-Auditori hosted a musical evening with pianist Rafael Kyrychenko and the Sant Cugat Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Salvador Brotons"

Occident held a new edition of the traditional Insurance Day concert (14 May) at the Teatre-Auditori Emma Vilarasau Sant Cugat, a well-established event that brought together more than 500 company employees and collaborators around music. The event enjoyed institutional representation from the Sant Cugat del Vallès Town Council, headed by its mayor, Josep Maria Vallès i Navarro.

The evening featured a remarkable performance by pianist Rafael Kyrychenko, a student at the Reina Sofía School of Music, accompanied by the Sant Cugat Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Salvador Brotons. The featured pieces included Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 "Emperor" and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Slavonic March, which were very well received by the audience.

The event concluded with a cocktail reception in the building's lobby, offering attendees a relaxed space to meet up and engage in conversation after the recital. With regard to the Teatre-Auditori, Occident renewed its sponsorship of this institution at the end of 2025, helping to promote one of the leading cultural venues in Vallès Occidental.

Xavier Portales, Director of People, Talent and Culture at Occident, stated that 'with initiatives like this, Occident reinforces its commitment to promoting culture and fostering young talent, while strengthening historical ties with Sant Cugat del Vallès and celebrating a key date for the insurance sector with our employees.'
