"Porta Ferrada Occident, one of the longest-running summer festivals in the region, will celebrate its 64th edition in Sant Feliu de Guíxols from July 10 to August 20."
Occident becomes naming sponsor of the Porta Ferrada Occident festival, reinforcing at the same time its commitment to music, culture and the promotion of responsible leisure experiences. With this alliance, the insurer links its brand to one of the most emblematic cultural events of the summer, with a long history and an identity closely linked since 1958 to Sant Feliu de Guíxols (Girona).
Porta Ferrada Occident is considered one of the most traditional summer festivals in Spain and is a cultural reference on the Costa Brava for its open proposal to different artistic disciplines, as well as for the coexistence of established names and emerging talents from the national and international scene.
This new edition, which will be held from July 10 to August 20, will once again turn the municipality into the stage for concerts and cultural events that will take place in different spaces in the town, including Guíxols Arena, the largest stage of the festival; Espai Port, with the sea just a stone's throw away; Monestir, an intimate and unique setting; Teatre Auditori Narcís Masferrer, which offers a more leisurely experience; and Sala las Vegas, the festival's most nocturnal space.
Porta Ferrada Occident, which combines artistic programming, unique spaces and Mediterranean essence, will bring together some of the leading artists on the current music scene such as David Bisbal, Mónica Naranjo, The Corrs, Rigoberta Bandini or Sopa de Cabra. The lineup also includes the multifaceted British artist Benjamin Clementine; to the flamenco cantaor Israel Fernández; and the Antonio Gades Company, which will perform Fuego, the choreographic testament of the tandem formed by Antonio Gades and Carlos Saura, among others.
Occident's Marketing and Communications Director, Berta Solé, highlighted that, with this collaboration, the insurer "reinforces its strategy of linking with top-level cultural initiatives that generate a positive impact on the territory, boost social and economic activity and offer the public memorable experiences in unique environments."
