"The insurer reiterates its support for the San Sebastián club, a national leader in women's handball, in a collaboration that will continue through the 2025-2026 season"
Occident has renewed its sponsorship agreement with Super Amara Bera Bera, underlining its commitment to women's sport and promoting values such as effort, teamwork, and excellence.
This sponsorship, which will extend throughout the 2025-2026 season, continues the close collaboration the two organisations have maintained in recent years and consolidates Occident as one of the main supporters of the San Sebastián team, currently a leader in women's handball in Spain.
The sponsorship agreement will allow Occident to have a strong presence on the players' official T-shirts and on the court when the first team is playing at home. The brand will also be present on other key media, such as the press panel, communication materials and the official website of the handball division. Through the club's social networks, there will once again be an initiative to find the “Best Player” in each match, to recognise the person who has stood out on that day.
With a brilliant sporting career, Bera Bera has once again made history after achieving the national treble: Iberian Super Cup, Queen's Cup and League. A feat that consolidates its dominance in Spanish women's handball and elevates its season to legendary status. Through this renewal, Occident strengthens its ties with an organisation that shares its spirit of excellence and its commitment to developing female talent.
The club expressed its gratitude for the trust placed in it for another season and emphasised the importance of having the support of companies committed to the sport's development. "Having Occident's support is a huge motivation and allows us to continue growing as a team on and off the court", said Tati Garmendia, head of Bera Bera Handball.
Occident, committed to Basque culture and sport
Occident is showing its firm commitment to the Basque cultural and sports sector, through numerous programmes to support entities in the region. In 2025, Occident sponsored the exhibition "Barbara Kruger: Another day. Another night" at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, of which it is a patron; and it has again supported different sports clubs such as Bilbao Basket and Miribilla Cycling. Likewise, in March it sponsored the 36th Occident Bilbao-Bilbao International Cycling Event for All, which attracted around 7,000 participants.
