"The insurance company continues its commitment to the agency model by expanding its office network in Spain"
Occident has taken a significant step in its growth strategy and customer proximity with its plans to open new offices in 2025. This expansion, adding 17 new offices, will take place in 2026, representing a decisive boost to its strategy of proximity, omnichannel approach, and personalised service. In this way, Occident consolidates its commitment to the agency channel and to maintaining close contact with customers through modern, accessible physical spaces focused on providing quality service.
The new offices have opened in various locations across Spain, reinforcing Occident's presence in different communities. The towns and cities that already have a new Occident office are: Figueres (Girona), Laredo (Cantabria), Algorta (Basque Country), Calaf, Alcarrás (Lleida), Lleida, Torrent (Valencia), Barcelona, Manacor (Mallorca), Alzira, Baena, Zaragoza (two offices), Sant Feliu de Llobregat (Barcelona), Sabadell (Barcelona), Malgrat de Mar (Barcelona) and an office in Andorra la Vella.
With these new openings, Occident consolidates a network that already exceeds 1,200 offices and has more than 14,000 mediators (agents and brokers) throughout Spain, who play an essential role in the company's business model thanks to their ability to support the customer, understand their needs and offer expert advice based on trust and closeness.
"Our growth strategy relies on a business model that firmly supports mediation and proximity with our customers. 'The opening of these 17 offices reinforces our commitment to offering a close, quality and personalised service and allows us to continue advancing in our territorial implementation plan', says Josep Riera, director of the agency channel at Occident.
Boosting talent and network growth through the Entrepreneurs Programme
Recently, Occident has renewed its agent recruitment and training programme, renamed Entrepreneurs Programme (Promoting agents towards professional success). This programme has become one of Occident’s main drivers of growth: the vast majority of its current exclusive agents started through this programme, demonstrating its success in providing professional, personalised service to clients and its strategic role in the company’s expansion.
The new model lasts up to six years, allowing candidates to gain a thorough understanding of the insurance agent profession while enhancing their technical knowledge, commercial skills, and awareness of client needs. In the final phase, participants reinforce the business management skills required to eventually lead their own office in the medium term.
