"The collaboration promotes specialised training and the promotion of the role of the insurance mediator in the sector"
Occident has signed a partnership agreement with the Fundació Privada Auditorium d’Assegurances, the training centre of the Barcelona Association of Insurance Brokers, with the aim of supporting the professional development of insurance brokers and highlighting their key role within the insurance sector.
Within the framework of this agreement, Occident will support the training and dissemination activities promoted by the Fundació Auditorium, aimed at the social promotion of the role of the insurance mediator and the continuous improvement of their professional competencies.
Fundació Auditorium, linked to the Association of Insurance Mediators of Barcelona, is a benchmark in specialised training in the sector, with a consolidated track record in the organisation of academic programmes, conferences and activities aimed at both mediators and professionals from insurance companies.
This agreement highlights Occident's commitment to mediation as a strategic channel and to strengthening its professional ecosystem. The company shares the belief that the mediator plays an essential role in providing tailored support to customers, as well as in generating trust and long-term value.
In the words of Miguel Cortegano, territorial director of Corredores de Occident for Catalonia and Aragon, 'this collaboration with the Association of Insurance Mediators of Barcelona will make it possible to promote initiatives that help to make the work of the mediator more visible, reinforcing their position in an increasingly complex and demanding environment.'
For his part, Francesc Santasusana, chairman of Fundació Auditorium and the Association of Insurance Mediators of Barcelona, thanked Occident for its collaboration and noted that 'for us, continued training is an obligation that allows us to always stay up to date. We are living through times of change, and professional mediation faces the challenge of adapting to any market requirement.'
Occident will also contribute to various projects that promote the latest knowledge and the adaptation of professionals to the sector's new challenges, including digital transformation, regulatory changes and the evolution of customer needs.
With this initiative, Occident reaffirms its commitment to talent development and to promoting mediation as a fundamental pillar of the insurance model, actively contributing to the strengthening of the sector in Barcelona and its area of influence.
