Occident sets up a special unit to provide support to those affected by heavy rain

Occident has set up a special unit to reinforce the care and service of its insured parties affected by last week's heavy rain that has had a significant impact on the provinces of Tarragona, Castellón, Valencia, Málaga, and Murcia. On Sunday, the State Meteorological Agency issued several red and orange warnings due to the rainfall that occurred on 28th December, which caused flooding and several roads to be closed in various parts of the Mediterranean coastline.

Flooding is a compensable event covered by the Insurance Compensation Consortium (CCS). The CCS is a public body that is financed by a small amount included in the price of any insurance policy and which is deposited in a guarantee fund intended to cover extraordinary risks among all insured persons in Spain.
