"Both entities are joining forces to promote training and professional development in the sector"
The Association of Insurance Mediators of Valladolid and Occident have signed their first collaboration agreement with the aim of promoting continuous training, professional development of the sector, and stronger ties between both entities.
The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation that will allow the development of joint training and outreach activities aimed at both registered mediators and the Occident commercial network. These initiatives will focus on updating knowledge, technical specialisation, and boosting quality in customer service.
The planned activities include the annual organisation of talks and training sessions on topical issues in the sector, the possibility of using the association's facilities for seminars or presentations, and participation in forums and meetings that promote synergies among professionals.
Likewise, the agreement includes Occident's collaboration to promote registration amongst its network of mediators, underlining the shared commitment to training, professional ethics, and excellence in insurer advice.
The agreement was signed with representatives from both entities in attendance: on behalf of the Association, María José Laguna, chairman of the Association of Insurance Mediators of Valladolid, and Santiago Garicano, Governing Board member representing Agents; and on behalf of Occident, Joaquín Cueva Vargas, director of Mediators for Valladolid and Palencia, and Fernando Gimeno San Emeterio, director of Brokers for the North Region.
"With this agreement, we strengthen our collaboration with the Association of Valladolid and reaffirm our commitment to mediators, a key element in our business model. Training and professional development in the sector are essential to offer an increasingly specialised, friendly, and high-quality service to the customer", said Fernando Gimeno, Occident's director of Brokers for the North Region.
With this alliance, the Association and Occident reaffirm their commitment to working together for the benefit of the development of the insurance sector and the continuous improvement of customer service for insured parties.
Occident supports mediation
For Occident, the network of agents and brokers, with more than 14,000 mediators, is paramount in its business strategy. The insurer has 153 mediators in the province of Valladolid. This channel represents more than 90% of its turnover and serves as a direct link between the company and its customers.
