Committed to science

Jesús Serra was firmly committed to supporting the progress of science, in the knowledge that all the advances that have been made in the history of humanity come from new research and new discoveries.

The Foundation recognises, through the Research Awards, the excellence and level achieved by young researchers, either Spanish or resident in Spain, in the fields of nutrition and alimentation and their influence on our health.

It collaborates with high prestige research centres such as the Spanish National Cancer Research Centre (CNIO), the Spanish National Cardiovascular Research Centre and the Canary Islands Institute of Astrophysics (IAC) through scholarships for the Fundación Jesús Serra Research Visitor.

It brings science and technology closer to citizens, using an artistic and aesthetic vision, with the Fotciencia competition promoted by the Spanish Scientific Research Council (CSIC) and the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT).
