Seguros Catalana Occidente held its commercial sessions aimed at intermediaries between the months of January and February. Over 3,000 agents participated in the 12 sessions, which took place in various locations throughout the Spanish territory, and the company's managing director, Juan Closa, presided over them.
This forum's objective it to bring together the network of agencies and the persons responsible for each product line. It also served to communicate Seguros Catalana Occidente's new developments and strategies for this year.
Juan Closa used his intervention in the different sessions to go over the main figures and key factors of 2016, highlighting an improved income statement. He also presented the guidelines for the year 2017, among of which he especially focused on the growth, the generation of knowledge and shared values and the understanding and adjustment to the social change.
The Life and General Insurance business lines also participated in these sessions. In each case, the commercial managers presented the main new developments regarding products, subscriptions and accidents, as well as the results obtained in the previous year and the objectives for 2017.
The commercial director of Life, Xavier Gil, focused on the customer needs analysis, the service visits and the improvement of the portfolios, among others, to reach the objectives. These are materialised in the rise of participation in the life risk segment, policyholder risk segment, long-term savings and health business.
On the other hand, the commercial manager of General Insurance, Albert Arenas, highlighted cross-selling as the main pillar of the company's actions. Arenas underlined, among other things, the importance of the customer's experience as a cross-cutting project.
During these sessions, the Notable Agents of General Insurance and the 2016 Financial Advisers finalists were awarded diplomas and recognition gifts, respectively.
